Persistence and a work
ethic that would intimidate most political leaders are just two of
the many qualities that make Rose Cora Perry, “a force to
be reckoned with.” Her development of leadership skills
and the ability to fight through the toughest of conditions are
attributes that Perry fostered quickly and easily as a child prodigy
from a long-line of entrepreneurs.
A performer at age four, songstress and model since age seven, in
charge of managing the secretarial and promotional aspects of her
mother’s health and fitness facility at 10, and finally, the CEO of
her own record label at 15 years of age, Perry prides herself on
her ability to accomplish anything to which she sets her mind.
In her academic career, Rose leaves a shadow
that is almost impossible to live up to: boasting a near perfect G.P.A,
and making more Honour role lists than some of the world’s most
prestigious leaders. Rose has an insatiable appetite for success;
always working to her full potential, even if the subject matter is
not of her particular preference.
Trained in martial arts as a
child, Perry learned the importance of honing one’s inner strength,
and acquiring self-discipline. She
actively contests that the only person that can hold oneself back
in life is oneself, and thus, the importance of mastering
intuitiveness and connectivity with one’s body and mind is
paramount.
Never succumbing to negative temptation or peer
pressure in her youth, Rose acts as a positive role model by leading
a substance-free healthy lifestyle. As the former founding
member and frontwoman for two popular independent Canadian rock
quartets, Rose professed her strong moral principles through her
socially-conscious and insightful lyrics and poetry. Considering
rockstardom’s long-standing invariable conjoining with drug culture,
Perry’s unique stance has not gone unnoticed, and in fact resulted
in her allotment as the official spokeswoman for a mental health
campaign targetting Ontario youth, backed by
MindYourMind. ca, in 2008.
Assuming the roles of Head of Promotions,
Bookings, Management, and Artist Development, Rose Cora Perry
led her bands to national success by securing them performance
spots on several world-renowned festivals such as Vans Warped
Tour, Canadian Music Week, The Pottahawk Pissup, and Meanyfest NYC. |
She
single-handedly was responsible for arranging their North
American tours, publicity opportunities, sponsorship deals, and
licensing agreements, including a negotiation
which made
Anti-Hero
the first-ever Canadian artist to have their material used in
accordance with MTV’s hit tv show, Next.
Both HER's and Anti-Hero’s acclaim and Perry’s management
know-how continues to elect her as the perfect candidate to
represent the perspective of independent Canadian artists in
several notable media expos és.
Additionally, her experiences in the music industry as both an
artist, and a business manager acted as the ideal launching pad for
her own hit column,
“So You Wanna be in a Rock Band?”, a weekly in-depth look at
the realities of the Canadian music biz. Originally published by her
college’s newspaper, The Interrobang, Perry’s column was
quickly picked up by several online blogging sites, and two American
publications within months of its first issue. At the
conclusion of its third year, “So You Wanna be in a Rock Band?”
boasted a dedicated readership of over 100,000 per issue.
Rose Cora Perry’s intelligent, blatant, and
well-researched style makes her writing widely enjoyable among
varying demographics. Her witty acumen and sharp tongue makes her
an excellent interview subject, a champion of rhetorical debate, and
a fascinating spokeswoman.
Since the inception of her column, Perry has
gone on to complete writing assignments ranging anywhere from
community updates to CD reviews to promotional biographies for
various clientele. In conjunction with her print journalistic
efforts, Rose was put in charge of several roles within her
community’s local broadcast media including an Entertainment VJ
position for Rogers Television’s,
London Calling. Most
recently, her astonishing achievements and ongoing contributions to
her hometown's music scene afforded her the great privilege of being
hand-picked to act as an Honourary Voting Committee Member and
Special Guest Seminar Speaker for the 2008 & 2009
Jack
Richardson Awards.
A
Liberal Arts, Media and Public Relations Honours graduate from
Fanshawe College, and a Scholarship-Awarded Bachelors of
Arts alumnus from the prestigious University of Western
Ontario, in the field of Social Psychology, Rose Cora Perry is
not afraid to take on a challenge. She welcomes the opportunity to learn new skills, and
develop on both a personal and professional platform.
In a world where it is commonly perceived that beauty and brains
rarely co-exist, Perry breaks yet another mold. An
unconventional beauty with edgy editorial features, Rose Cora Perry
commands attention in front of a camera. Already crowned one of the
72 Hottest Babes in Canada by UMM Magazine, and Most Photogenic
Model by Sunburst Canada, Rose’s ravenous locks, jade-coloured
eyes, and petite athletic build propose a new ideal of beauty in
which it’s not just the blondes having fun. As a hair, fetish, and
photography model, Perry actively follows the fashion world and has
developed a keen eye for design.
It is certainly clear that Rose Cora Perry loves to learn, but
further, loves to succeed, and with an unquenchable thirst for
greatness, there is no doubt in our minds that she will.
